There is one game left on the NFL sked—the Pro Bowl doesn’t count—as the Colts get ready to battle the Bears. Bettors have a variety of betting options available to them with game lines and prop bets (see sports).

Everyone seems to be overlooking the Chicago Bears (+7) when it comes to game line betting, but the so-called experts seem to be overlooking a couple of key figures.

While it is a stretch to draw any comparisons to Ditka’s 1985 winner, this year’s edition hardly had to claw its way into the playoffs. Not only did the Bears have a 13-3 record, they took the NFC North crown and homefield throughout the NFC playoffs. In fact, statistically speaking they were the best team in the National Football Conference.

Yes, Rex Grossman has been inconsistent and could very well piss away the game for Chicago, but don’t think for one second that he isn’t motivated by all the negative, “Grossman sucks” talk.

Here are some interesting trends

The Colts are 2-3 ATS on grass away from home and the Bears, who are technically the home team, are 1-1 away from Soldier Field this season.

Overall, Indianapolis has a record of 5-7 ATS in their last 12 playoff games, but they are 5-3 ATS since 2003.

The NFC is 3-1 ATS in the last four Super Bowls, but the AFC is 3-1 straight up in those games.

Key Injuries

Indy

It doesn’t look like Peyton Manning’s thumb is bothering him. He will play.

CB Nick Harper (ankle) and S Bob Sanders (knee) are both questionable.

Chicago

WR Mark Bradley will play despite a knee injury.

LB Rod Wilson (hamstring) is questionable.

Everyone is dismissing the Bears and that might be dangerous. Still, the Colts look good. Their offense is clicking and they seem to have solved the defensive problems that have plagued them in the regular season—they have the top ranked defense amongst playoff teams.
