Titan Poker Speaking In Many Tongues

They ain’t the first and they ain’t the last, but Titan Poker recently introduced a site in a language other than English. A Norwegian Titan poker site was recently launched, bringing the total number of different language Titan sites to nine (English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Polish, Turkish and Swedish).

As the site said in a Press Release, “A huge influx of Norwegian speaking players has already begun to fill Titan Poker's popular tournament and ring game tables, competing with avid poker players from all over the world.”

Titan isn’t the only site offering multi-languages either. Intercasino offers sites in both German and Israeli.

PokerStars has sites in 11 different languages including English, German, Finnish, Danish, Spanish, French, Norwegian, Swedish, Portuguese, Dutch and Italian.

I think it’s safe to say that poker isn’t being lost in translation.

The acquisition market continues to move along. A deal between Ladbrokes and 888.com is imminent and recently, CryptoLogic, through its wholly owned subsidiary WagerLogic, added Scandinavian poker room Parbet into the fold.

Under terms of the deal, Crypto will get the rights to the Parbet name as well as all related domain names, customer lists and databases. In return, WagerLogic will pay €9 million up front and potentially another €4 million based on whether Parbet’s performance improves or not.

Parbet’s customers were expected to be switched over to the WagerLogic network upon completion of the deal, which was, barring unforseen circumstances, this past Monday.

Both companies win out, but the deal will be beneficial not only to Crypto and Parbet, but Parbet’s customers as well. Crypto’s VP of Poker Software Development Andy Goetsch explained.

“They will now enjoy a poker network with triple the liquidity, attractive room-wide incentives and a platform that is one of the most stable in the industry,” said Goetsch.

“All WagerLogic licensees and their players will benefit from the increased liquidity which Parbet, and all new licensees, added to the network.
